Sex trafficking occurs when force, fraud, or coercion is used to cause a commercial sex act with an adult. Force, fraud or coercion need not be present for sex trafficking to occur with a child under the age of 18.

When a commercial sex act occurs with a child under the age of 18, it is by definition sex trafficking according to the U.S. Department of State.
How We Help Survivors of Sex Trafficking
Our licensed and highly experienced trauma-informed evidence based behavioral health professionals, and legal specialists work together to help victims of sex trafficking navigate the legal system and create a working plan for a new life and opportunities free of exploitation and abuse. The average age of a sex trafficked victim is between the ages of 12 and 14 years, not old enough to drive, they never went to prom or graduated from high school.

Some of the opportunities we help victims explore may include going back to school, getting a GED attending trade school or college.

According to statistics reported by the FBI, around 293,000 children in America are currently at risk of becoming commercial sexual exploitation victims.
Missing & Exploited
According to an FBI investigation, between 60% and 70% of trafficked children in the U.S. come from child social services or the foster system.
Innocent Children
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the average age a child first becomes a victim of sex trafficking is between 12 and 14 years old.
